Little Man's Forever Family Day

Where do I ever begin! Jet has come so far in a year. The days of rocking himself back and forth are gone. He now lets mommy and daddy do that for him. He came to us the size of a 12 month old and he is now starting to wear 3T. He has grown over 4 inches in a year. He has gained 9 pounds. He has learned to walk, run, climb and jump. He is no longer afraid of the grass and runs barefoot through it and even on the gravel driveway. He is ALL BOY!! The higher he goes the more he likes it! He goes to bed with a tractor or a truck every night. He has learned a few words and just last week started saying dada!! We all were smiling from ear to ear! So proud of our boy! Although he has few words, there is one word that is by far his favorite, and that is HOME! Home is where he feels safe, home is where he longs to go when things get overwhelming. As we turn the corner into our driveway he begins to say home, home, home. He is smiling and clapping. Oh sweet boy we are so glad you are home! and that we took a GIANT leap of faith and brought you home! The road has not been easy, but God did not promise easy. He just promised He will walk with us and will carry us when we need it most. Jethro still has a long way to go, but each day he is learning more and more to love and trust that we are his forever family. We love you so much little man!!

Ruiby's Forever Family Day

How can it be one year already that our girl walked into our lives. We are so blessed to be her family!! She came to us with no tears, saying mama, baba and big sister. She never looked back. She has had moments of grieving, but she had been very prepared for us her family. She has grown over three inches and gained 6 pounds, she speaks sentences in English, she can count to ten, knows her colors and most of her ABC's. She is a happy girl, with a stubborn streak. She laughs all the time. She loves to play tricks, snuggle and give butterfly kisses. I love to listen to her sing Jesus Loves Me. She loves her family and we love her!! I pray her birth mommy has peace tonight that her baby is happy and well. She gave her girl life and then gave her girl life again by giving her up, so she could have the life saving surgery she so desperately needed. I can not imagine the pain and sorrow she felt and probably still feels. Even though this was not God's plan for our girl, He can take aches and turn them into beauty! We are honored that God chose us to be part of that beauty.
